The firm
Private capital with an owner’s perspective
ELP Ventures is the private family office of Edgar Costa. The firm was established to manage long-term family capital, pursue strategic investments, and build durable businesses across generations.
Unlike a traditional private equity fund, ELP Ventures invests proprietary capital and is not governed by a fixed fund life. This structure allows the firm to remain patient, flexible, and aligned with the long-term interests of companies, management teams, employees, customers, and communities.
ELP Ventures combines investment discipline with practical operating experience. The firm seeks opportunities where capital, technology, governance, and international relationships can accelerate sustainable growth.
Principles
How the firm is organised
Our Purpose
ELP Ventures exists to steward family capital thoughtfully and to build businesses that remain relevant well beyond a single ownership period. We measure success by the durability of what we help create, not by transaction volume.
Our History
The firm was established to consolidate the family's investment and operating activity under a single, disciplined structure. We do not publish a founding date for the current entity until it has been formally confirmed.
Our Values
Discretion, integrity, and consistency. We say what we will do, we honour commitments made to management teams, and we prefer a small number of relationships handled carefully to a large number handled quickly.
International Perspective
Our attention spans North America and Europe. We understand how businesses cross borders — regulatory difference, distribution, talent, and culture — and we treat international expansion as an operating discipline rather than a slide in a plan.
Family Office Structure
ELP Ventures invests proprietary capital. There is no fund life, no external limited partners, and no obligation to exit on a predetermined schedule. That structure is the foundation of the patience we offer.
Responsible Ownership
We consider employees, customers, suppliers, and communities to be part of the value of a business. Ownership decisions are made with that in mind, and with respect for the history of each company we join.

Capital that can wait
Businesses, brands, and real assets mature on their own schedule. hospitality assets, Real Estate assets, Vineyards and healthcare operators, and software platforms each reward a different kind of patience. Because our capital is proprietary, we can hold through those cycles and make decisions on the timeline the business actually requires.
